Who is Amanda Pool?

A Life Shaped by Faith and the Written Word

She is a born-again follower of Jesus, wife to Johan, mother of eight, and grandmother of four.

Amanda was born in Robertson, Western Cape, and spent 33 years in a corporate career at Sanlam, which instilled in her discipline, insight, and an appreciation for people and processes.

After leaving corporate life, she explored various business ventures for nearly ten years, gaining practical knowledge and understanding of leadership, service, and stewardship.

A life-changing encounter with God inspired her to pursue theological studies and to establish a Bible College for theological training, facilitation, and spiritual formation.

She completed several years of theological and ministry studies through the International School of Ministry (ISOM) and Team Impact Christian University (TICU), progressing through Certificate and Diploma studies to an Advanced Diploma in Biblical Studies and a Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Entrepreneurship. She was subsequently awarded an Honorary Doctor of Christian Entrepreneurship by Divinity Institute. As part of this process, she completed an approved thesis project, which was presented in book format.

For over seven years, she also supported students, many of whom were active pastors, using the ISOM-established curricula. She saw profound transformation in Biblical knowledge, character, and spiritual maturity.

As Amanda sensed a shift towards slowing down, spending more intentional time in God’s presence, and engaging deeply with Scripture, the Bible School season neared its close as well. 

In this new season, she continues to write more books and create content for her live programs, translating reflections into shorter blogs and talks shared across her platforms and social media.

Her focus has shifted from student programs to mentoring others and supporting writers, researchers, and faith voices with personal, editorial, and publishing help. She finds joy in helping others express God’s truths clearly and faithfully, in this and in mentoring others: always under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Her motto in whatever she does: To always be obedient to her calling, and to honour and glorify her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
